Pool Days

Our gym has pretty awesome indoor and outdoor pool areas. Too bad it took us until August to remember that and actually use them.

Our first trip to the outdoor pool was on a Saturday, and whooaaah! Was I ever out of my league! This tankini-wearing, suck-in-all-you-got-and-you-got-a-lot mom of two stood out among all the binkini clad hotties at the pool. The disgusting thing was that these hotties were also moms of two, or three, or more. Seriously? [and by disgusting, I really mean amazing, of course].

Luckily, when I ventured out on my own with the boys on a Monday, tankinis ruled the pool and I didn't stand out like such a sore thumb. No more weekend visits for me. Mmmmkay?

Carterbabes was cautiously happy to be in the water.  He would get brave to play in the fountains,

but for the most part he and I sat in the shallow water and watched our little fish Kaeden get braver and braver in the deeper areas.  Kid seriously loves the water.  I keep asking him if he'd like to take some swimming lessons, but the idea sends his anxiety sky high.  We'll see.

Our visit was less than an hour, but it was sure a nice little get away for the three of us.  I vow that we will visit the pool as often as possible until the season is done [Saturdays excluded, of course].

I think the boys will agree this is a good plan.
