Whenever my step-mom comes to town, it's a treat in its own right.

The woman is hilarious, loves to cook, can talk for hours, and makes friends with just about everyone she meets.

Seriously. She and my mom and like long distance besties. Who can say that about their husband's ex wife?

Anyway... another treat when Pat comes to visit is her pictures. I love going through the shots she dumps on my hard drive right before she heads to the airport.

It's amazing to see little snippets of my family's life through the perspective of someone else's lens.

It's humbling, and beautiful.
