Is it silly that this makes me ridiculously happy?

Let's put aside the pride I feel when I realize he took some time to focus on this little project. His coloring within the lines is probably the best I've seen to date. And don't get me started on the fact that he actually chose to color with a multitude of colors rather than just one.

But the fact that he thought his "mom" would be in his pot of gold...

Melts my heart!

Who cares that it doesn't make sense,

or that the way it's worded sounds a little grotesque,

or even the fact that perhaps he probably didn't understand what was going on and just said the first thing that came to mind.

Because for today...

I am the prize at the end of my son's rainbow.

And that puts a smile on my face.
