Yes, Please

So....my mind has been on overload lately.

I have so many projects, ideas, and things floating around my head that I think I might be going a little crazy.

But it's a good kind of crazy.

At least that's what I tell myself.

I suddenly have every room in my house designed in my head.  I know exactly how I want each room to look [well, let's not kid ourselves, the basement is a beast I probably won't tackle for years].

I've recently picked up a flair for cooking.  Nothing super extravagant, just simple, yet yummy dinners in an effort to switch up the same old blah.

And my list of hobbies I've wanted to improve upon and pick up continues to grow.

Understand the overload now?

It doesn't help that I'm a internet/Google junkie.

I get an idea in my head, and it's off to the internet I go.

I usually research the items needed to complete an idea on Amazon, where I pretty much consider the user reviews as good as gold.  Seriously. I love those reviews.  I then use a little Google action to find the best price, and by the end of my search I know the who, what, when, where, and why of said item.

The only trick?

The HOW.

Ugh.  Great minds do not work well under financial constraints.  Seriously.  If my mind doesn't slow to the speed of my money stream, I. Just. Might. Go. Crazy.  Then again, at this pace, perhaps not even a Bill Gates-like wallet could keep up.  I kid.  It's not that bad.  Yet.

I've recently become and avid user of the wish list on Amazon.  For a list maker like me, it's a virtual piece of heaven.  I get an idea, I Google it, find it on Amazon and make a little bookmark.  So addicting.  I've also recently found out about the "starred items" in Google Reader [yes.  I'm slow.].  Now I can also bookmark all my crafty to-do's I want to complete in one easy place.

Wanna see what's on my wish list?

Here's a glimpse of what I'm currently pining over.

Random?  Yes.  Realistic?  Mostly.  Close to my heart?  You betcha.

I think it's kinda fun to periodically give a snapshot of my wish list.  Mostly because I change my mind so frequently, I'm sure I'll look back and think, "Seriously?  I spent so much energy wishing for this?!!?!".  Plus, the wish lists will help when special days such as mother's day and my birthday come along.  No longer will I be like, "Ummm?  I don't know."  when someone asks what I'd like as a gift.  Because I DO know.  Oh, how I DO.

And without further ado...

This, as far as I've found, is the best reviewed, most highly rated home carpet cleaner out there [and it's only $140 bucks!!!]. I've been wanting a carpet cleaner forever because a certain four-legged member of our family STILL insists on taking potty breaks around my house even though he is FULLY potty-trained. Stupid dog just gets lazy sometimes. DRIVES. ME. CRAZY. This carpet cleaner is really cheap [comparatively speaking], and I'm actually placing it in my virtual cart for checkout tonight. Yep. My excitement overwhelms. [Thank you people who trusted me to do your tax returns this year!]

Camera lens. This one is a toughie for me. I just can't decide. I really want a good prime lens for my camera. I'm wanting to experiment more, and these two lenses provide two great alternatives. I just can't decide. One of these days I'll make it out to my local camera store and see if the clerk can give me any info that tips my opinion in either direction. I'm looking at either a 35mm or a 50mm lens. Initially I was just going to go with the 50mm but then I started reading a bunch of reviews for the 35mm. Once my decision is made, I have some Christmas money saved up, and one of these babies will be mine. All mine.

My house is in desperate need of some rugs. Mostly just to soften the hard surfaces around my main level so that the poor bones in our feet don't cry out in anger. I'm loving all things damask in black, white and cranberry since it's slowly infiltrating my kitchen/living room. Either of these rugs would look very nice right under my kitchen sink, or at my back door.  Yes please.

Yep. You've seen them before. Still on my wish list. I almost broke down and bought them when they dropped $25 in price the other day. I got them in my cart and then almost had a heart attack at the final total. Apparently I forgot to read the small print that it cost just as much to ship the items as it did to buy them. Ummmmm, no thank you. I'll wait. I recently found that Target at one time carried these bad boys, so I'm holding them in my Target wish list as well, hoping that by some grace of decency Target decides to carry them again. Please Target, please. I've got a massive gift card to you that would love to be used on these dishes.

I don't know why, but I just really want one of these. It's a five-gallon drink jug thingy, and it's awesome. Not a must have [and definitely not necessarily this particular one], just something I'd like to have in my kitchen cupboard one day. Thus, it goes on the list.

Power tools? Yes. Power tools. A table saw and compound miter saw to be exact. I've got a thing for a certain blog [Knock Off Wood -- check it out now!], and I've even got Jeff excited about it too. Our first project on the list? A big boy bed for Kaeden. Jeff doesn't know it, but I've got about another 7 other "to builds" lined up behind that one. Shhhh.... don't tell.  Oh we're going to have fun!

This personal cutter makes me a little giddy. Vinyl, paper, glass etching? Even though I've never done any of them, this machine makes me want to. Enough said.

These sheets from Pottery Barn are probably the only purchase I'll ever make from Pottery Barn. I've searched the world wide web for something similar, but nothing strikes my fancy quite like these do. And they will be a key element in completing Kaeden's big boy room.

I need antique trucks like this for Kaeden's big boy room. There are some cool ones on Ebay, but most don't give you a Buy It Now price, and trying to compete in bidding wars creates so much anxiety for me, it's just not worth it. Can I just say I CANNOT wait until all my ideas for this room come to fruition?

Lastly, a bench like this. I want a bench to put in my closet for Jeff and I to sit on and tie our shoes. I know, I know. How lame, right? There's just a big open space in there that I feel needs to be used for something, and so far, this is the best I've got. It has to have a secret cubby though. I want to put blankets, or sweaters, or something in there. As you can see, I haven't fully thought this one out, but on the list it goes nonetheless.

And there you have it. Who knows what will eventually make it into my home, and which will fall victim to my delete button in just a matter of time.

But for now, mommy likey.

A girl after my own heart! I would take a day in the garage using a jigsaw over a day in my loft sewing. I remember the first time I used a power tool I was like... I get it! I totally get why boys want garages full of these lovelies. Although they probably wouldn't refer to them as lovelies. I think you inspired me to do my wish list. Love yours! Love when you post. I always smile. Oh and I'd enjoy that carpet cleaner too. and a new rug. and...

Nice! Check out my list on my blog. It's pathetically random!
