Las Vegas

Right after our trip to Indiana, we packed our bags and headed to Las Vegas.

It was our first long road trip with Kaeden.

I wasn't worried, until he decided to start vomiting 10 minutes into our drive.  Ugh.

If he ate or drank anything, PROJECTILE VOMIT.

We didn't even make it past two freeway exits before we had to pull over and clean up.

Have you ever cleaned throw up out of a carseat?  In the parking lot of a gas station?

Yeah.  It sucks.

But I'd do anything for this little man.

We had to make a few stops along the way for THROW-UP FEST 2009.

Funny thing is, he was puking, but had no other symptoms.  He was perfectly happy.  Just starving.

Case in point:  In Fillmore he had a hay day playing on a playground in his puke stained onesie.

Luckily he shaped up after this stop, and it was smooth sailing from then on out.

Our usual 5-6 hour trip to Vegas took us 8.  Yeah.  Fun.

Once we checked into our hotel, the party really started.

Because do you know what they have in Vegas?

Telephones!

Kaeden walked right into the room, dropped his bottle, and ran straight to the phone. He must have had something important to say because he was talking to his peeps ALL. NIGHT. LONG.

But alas, eventually it was night-night time and Kaeden was all, "Pshah! What don't we have a king size bed at home? I can sleep sideways an you can't even feel me between you."

Kid had a point. On the to do list: Get a king size bed. California kings are for wussies.

Awww....Kaeden loves all the luxuriousness that Vegas hotels have to offer:

It was a quick business trip, but we found time to have a little fun in the sun too.

And to prove we were really in Vegas, the obligatory Strip picture. Us waiting for the Treasure Island Pirate show [p.s. waaaaaaayyyyy too loud for the wee ones!]

Yeah, I know. The guy taking the picture missed all of Vegas in the background.

That's all!
