Gateway Children's Museum

We made a couple of trips up to the Gateway Children's Museum this Summer.

I LOVE that place.

There's so much for the little kids to do.

There's also a lot of people. Ugh.

But let's not focus on that. Mmmmkay?

On this particular trip, Kaeden showed up in style.

Arm in arm with his girl.

The first area you walk into is a ball playland.

Once Kaeden understood the idea of the room, he was all over those little balls. He'd grab them out of other kids hands just to show them what you were supposed to do. Needless to say the poor kids fighting their way to stock pile a few balls were never amused.

There is a playland for toddlers which was always a big hit:

I love that last one. I'm still obsessed with the back of that head.

There is a Farm Land:

And a mini-house:

I laugh every time I see this picture. You see that little leg on the other side of the refrigerator door? The little girl back there kept trying to close the door with Jane inside. Kaeden jumped into defensive mode, went behind the door, grabbed the girl's shirt, and tried to pull her to the ground. I had to break it up, giggling the whole time. No one messes with Kaeden's girl!

In the mini-house is Kaeden's FAVORITE toy in the whole place:

This mini sofa rocker. Kid is OBSESSED. While kids are running around screaming, Kaeden sits and rocks in that chair in his own little world of tranquility. We literally have to pull him out of it and try to convince him to play with the other toys. I think I know what will be on the top of his Christmas list!

There is a water land:

And a place to express your inner rock star:

I love this picture of my boy. These glass tubes have air shooting up them. You stick pieces of paper in there and the kids watch the paper shoot up into the air. I caught this picture as Kaeden whipped his head upwards to follow his piece of paper into the air.  Love it.  Such amazement.

Excuse the heinousness that is me in the following picture, but Meredith and I were pretty proud of this moment. These two teens were setting up the cameras and teleprompters to do their own newscast. Merz and I just jumped in and started doing it for them. I know they were pissed, but I think they were also confused as to why two grown adults would do such a thing. Well, let me tell ya little girls. Because. We. Can.

I also enjoy this picture. Mainly for Meredith's photo-bombing skills.

After the Children's Museum we stopped at the Gateway water fountains. Needless to say, someone had some fun.

All in all, it was a really fun day. How do I know a certain little man agrees with me? I found this in the backseat before we even exited the parking garage.

Success.
