More Tour de Hoffmann

Okay.... so here we continue to tour of our new house. I decided in this post I would consolidate a bunch of little areas rather than spread them out over a few posts. Even though I would look like a good blogger if I actually posted more. Moving on...

Here we have the guest bathroom off the garage. I have no clue why I am posting a pic of this, other than the fact that it's the most "finished" room of the house. That's probably because it's so small, and probably because we bought everything for it before the funds ran low. It's not completely finished, but close.

Those orange stickers you see are from the company the bank hired to come blow out the lines during winter. I'm soooo grateful the bank cared enough to have someone do this. We bought the home in the dead of winter and it was FREEZING. It gave me a little peace of mind that if we ended up getting the house we wouldn't have to worry [as much] about broken pipes within the house. You may also note the lighting fixture on the counter. We had to purchase EVERY lighting fixture. Yes. He took them all. You may also notice THE CUTENESS emanating from the bathroom mirror. Not me. Kaeden.

We went with a sage and pink/peach theme. That's because of the hydrangea shadow box thingy-majigy you see hanging on the wall. It's lovely in real life. In the picture, not so much.

You also may notice [were you a whiz at the Where's Waldo stuff as a kid?] that there are no knobs on the cabinet doors. Let me just tell you.... it's a common theme through the entire home. Yep. He took those too. Unfortunately, knobs are something you can technically live without. So for now, we're remaining knob-less.

Next we have the little bench area right outside the above bathroom. I think this was a little too hard for the previous owner to try to take with him. Go figure.

Yep. Still working on cutesy-ing it up. I think I've got a good start though.

On a side note: Jeff calls those little cubbyholes below the bench "shoe lockers." Drives. Me. Nuts.

Here's a view looking down the hallway. Nothing too impressive, other than I think it looks so different with the wood [doors, baseboards, etc] back in place.

And that completes this leg of the tour.

Guess what? I actually got pics taken of all the other areas I plan on sharing. That means I'll actually be posting the rest of the tour over the next couple of days. You're excited aren't you? Admit it. Seriously. Admit it. At least for me.

I'm excited!

And the first thing I noticed in the first picture was Kaeden! VERY cute. and then I also noticed how in the after picture you had to squat in order not to be in the mirror. Found that particularly funny :)

It really looks great! I love the after pictures because even though there aren't tons of decorations (I have basically none in my house and I've been here for over 2 years) the changes look amazing.
