Just when I think that I'm going to get around to posting at least every other day, life throws another twist and I have to prioritize my time right out of blogville. Darn life. Darn priorities. [Don't get me wrong...I still stalk every second I get, but my own posts fall on the wayside].
Here is a glimpse into our life since my last post:
* We are officially [as of tonight] fully moved out of our house. We began the task last weekend, and it took us until today to fully finish and say adios. The hubs was a little sad about saying goodbye to a home that we had built together. It was the foundation of the first two and a half years of our marriage, and the first place where we learned to live with one another. We put the yard in together, and decorated the interior. There are definately a lot of memories, but I am soooo past the point of being ready to move on. I think it is because I have so much other "stuff" going on in life right now that I wasn't all that emotional, but it will probably catch up to me later. One thing I was super emotional about: walking past Kytah's dogrun and doghouse [that my friend Sean built especially for her!] for the last time. So sad to feel like I was officially leaving her there [although she's buried at my aunt's house]. Jeff and I left her gate open [you know, in case her little spirit ever wanted to return].
* We haven't closed the sale of our home, but are hoping to early this week. The buyers [you know, the ones who wrote in the contract that they would give us two days notice to vacate] thought they would be closing last friday. When they found out they weren't going to until Monday or Tuesday, they wanted to move in anyway and just pay us rent for the couple of days difference. We said no. They apparently weren't happy. I've just about had it with them. Jeff wanted to leave a shirt in the house with a note saying, "Since you pretty much took everything else from us, I figured I might as well leave the shirt off my back too." [Always the comedian]. That's really how we feel about the whole situation, but in reality we still feel really lucky to sell. Especially due to some circumstances surrounding the house that don't have to do with the current economy [and no, it's not haunted - I would have been gone soooooo long ago].
* Kaeden turned 4 months this Friday! We went to his 4 month wellness visit, and essentially learned that our kid looks like this. [without the cigarette of course]. According to those growth charts, lil man's weight is in the 45th percentile [14 lbs 5 oz], and his length is in the 25th [2 inches longer than his 2 month checkup]. Oh, and that noggin? Yeah. That's in the 95th percentile. This then begs the question: Is it possible to go past 100? I didn't dare ask.
* Highlight of my weekend thus far? Watching my husband seriously ponder what a sign on the side of the freeway meant: Sherriff's INTIMATE Work Crew. Him: Huh. Wonder what that means? Intimate Work Crew? Me [who didn't even see the sign]: pretty sure it said INMATE, not INTIMATE. [Perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe he does have an intimate work crew. But what the heck are they doing on the side of the freeway?]
* My work just upped the ante on the employee Halloween costume contest. Instead of first place being $100, it's now $250. I am soooo relying on Kaeden's costume to bring the bacon home [What? He's practically an employee. He goes to work with me everyday]. At first it was going to be the residents [I work in an assisted living] who were the judges, now it's going to be management. With all those old ladies voting, I was sure to have it in the bag. C'mon lil man...momma needs a new pair of shoes [or a couple!]. Pics of him in his cute costume to follow.....
* Hubs got a new video game. Any free time, that's where I can find him. At least it's not sports related. Those computer-generated announcers were driving me crazy!
* Had another visit to the diet/exercise consultant after taking 2 weeks off for the move, etc. At my prior appointment I had lost 8% body fat and a total of 18 lbs of fat [my seventh week results]. Then I took two weeks off knowing I wouldn't ever make it to the gym, and that eating a diet every 2.5 hours in a house with no food was going to be difficult. Needless to say...I did really bad. I don't know what my problem is. If I cheat a little, I just have to cheat a lot. My week was filled with pumpkin chocolate chip cookies [seriously, go get the one's from Harmon's with the cream cheese icing. Thank me later.}, pizza, and a bunch of other delicious [but sooo contraband] stuff. I was optimistic this week when I jumped on the scale and my weight stayed exactly the same [maybe I wasn't so bad afterall]. Ha! Weight was the same, but I had gained 1.5% body fat. Darn cookies ate all my muscle and left their friend Fatty McFat in it's place. Jerks. It is a little sad that so much hard work can be undone by so little. Oh well. I journey on.
I think that's pretty much it for my update. I have a bunch of stuff I want to post about, so hopefully I'll eventually get around to all of that. Have a nice week. I'll be stalking you [in a non-threatening, non-creepy sort of way of course].

Thanks for the update! I've been wondering where you've been.
I'm sorry that the whole moving thing has been so difficult, but you're almost there!
i seriously wish we had a harmon's in las vegas. i visit the store every time i'm in slc. can you say white chocolate pecan bread?!?
(although, i'm probably better off without one)
i want those cookies from harmons! i don't even really like sweets that much but those sound AWESOME!
we're STILL moving! it's taking FOREVER! we're mostly moved but now we're just being lazy because there's a bunch of little/breakable/annoying things to get out. like, oh say... my dishes. don't worry about what we've been eating on. [tupperware lids]
i'm so OVER moving. next time we have to move i'm leaving everything behind except what i can fit in a backpack.
p.s. taylor's head was always in the 95th percentile too. it's really common for boys to have big heads. in fact now... him + joe share hats. i just tell him he has a big brain. ;)
