OMG! It's Twighlight!

So I title this blog a little sarcastically, even though I am a Twighlight fan (see prior posts). Anyway....today is the release date of the much anticipated sequel in the Twighlight series. Many months ago when I was sick with a gestating Baby Kade in my belly, I was turned on to the Edward and Bella phenomenon sweeping the nation. I don't know if it was the books' ability to keep my mind off my need to up-chuck (honestly, there's just no non-WT (white trash) way to talk about throwing up), or the fact that there's a happy love story involved that turned me on so much, but I was really excited for the new book to come out.

Flash forward about 30 weeks since I finished the last one in the series, and my excitement has waned considerably. It's not that I'm not excited to see what is in store for my dear Edward and Bella, but unfortunately my pea-brain has basically forgotten the entire story up to this point already. Ugh! That means that I am going to have to start from Book 1, Page 1 all over again.

I seriously think I have a problem. My brain cannot retain information that it does not need to store for future use. Ask me any random question about any transaction that took place in the books of my work over the past five years, and I can spout off the details like the Rain Man. Ask me about the plot in the last movie I watched and.....nothing but white clouds moving around in there. Perhaps this is a good thing....preventing me from information overload by deleting the info that doesn't matter much in life.....but how then does all my celebrity smut and ensuing love triangles seem to find a permanent home in my mind? Is that really more pertinent in my brain's hierarchy of importance than say the vast majority of information obtained during my college education? Ahhh....but I digress.......
