For my birthday, my sweet husband got me a new camera. We already have a really nice point and shoot, but I felt that the pictures it was taking of baby Kaeden were maximizing his photographic potential (i.e. My baby is dang cute, and I don't think the camera was capturing it all!). My step mom Pat has a Nikon camera, and that thing takes great pictures! I call Pat my "Stalkerazzi" because when she is town her little camera is always clicking away, but she sure does get some great shots. Taking from her lead I decided to get a camera just like hers. I haven't been able to play with it yet, but Jeff took a few shots, and we are impressed. I've also found a photography class taught by the University of Utah that starts in September that I hope to enroll in. I have used an SLR before, but I don't remember what ISO, and all that gibberish means anymore (my last photography class was in the 10th grade).
Wish me luck as I start my photo taking. I know that a lot of it has to do with the photographer and not necessarily the camera, but I feel this camera will give me that extra edge. I'm already planning scrapbook pages in my head!
