My Easter Highlight

Besides all the yummy food and seeing family, I had one moment that was my Easter highlight.

My niece Aubrey came to the family gathering and started a converstation with me. I will try to type in her language (she still struggles with R's and L's).

Aubrey: "Why didn't you bwing yow baby?"

Confused as to whether or not she thought I had already had the baby, I pulled my chair out a little, showed her my belly, and said, "He's still right here."

Her eyes get wide and a smile comes across her face as she says, "Wow! You did bwing yow baby!"

She started to rub my belly, so I said, "When he kicks, I will let you feel it."

And she said, "When will he kick?"

I said, "Maybe when we eat dinner. He gets excited when I eat because he likes to eat too."

She looks at me and says, "Go eat a woll (roll). You need to eat a woll."

It was like she was begging me too. After I convinced her I wasn't going to spoil dinner, she just sat and rubbed my belly. It was really cute!

I've always loved that little girl, ever since Jeff and I first started dating. She is the cutest! She's even named the baby. Before we knew what he was, she mentioned that if it was a boy, we should name him Rocket. When we called to tell the family what we were having, she yelled in the background, "Yes! Wocket!" It was a good month and a half since our baby naming conversation. I couldn't believe she remembered. :)
