So just for the fun of it I decided to practice my swaddling on Milo today. For those of you who don't know what "swaddling" is, it's a way of wrapping up your baby in a blanket really tight to restrict their movement and help them feel more protected as you try to get them to sleep.
There was a blanket sitting on our bed, and I just thought I would try. I figured Milo would fight and scratch me trying to get out of it, but he loved it! He stayed all swaddled in my arms forever, and when I rocked him a little he started falling asleep. I had Jeff take a couple of pictures. Afterwards, I let him out, and when I put the blanket down, he immediately went over to it, and looked at me as if to ask, "Can we do it again?" Funny! Maybe I will be a good mom afterall. If I can comfort my neurotic dog, perhaps I'll do okay with a screaming baby! :)
