Geez! It's been a week since I posted! I'm really slacking on this blogging thing.
Life's been quite busy lately. My new assistant starts tomorrow, so Guy and I spent the week downsizing everything in our office to fit an extra person. Our office before felt crowded and "junked up" because Guy is sort of a packrat. I wasn't sure how fitting 3 people in there was going to work, but I am very pleased with our final product. We have 3 working areas, and the office actually seemed to get bigger! I meant to get a before picture, but of course, we started ripping stuff apart and then later on I remembered that I had wanted to do that. I will take an after picture tomorrow to post. I'm loving it because everything in the office is kinda minimalist, and there are no nooks and crannies for Guy to store stuff! Yeah! Who would have thought that the aesthetics of your office could make you excited to go to work each day? The conversion project took pretty much all week so by the time I got home each night I was pretty tired. There's one excuse for not blogging! P.S. Yes, we were even able to keep our big black leather couch in the office while still fitting 3 people and all my storage stuff. :)
I spent my day Saturday shopping for maternity clothes again. I think I'm basically done unless I find some big deal on some more spring/summer type clothes here and there. I have enough basics to get me through the work week, and I actually think a lot of the outfits are kind of cute. I will try to have Jeff take pics as I wear some of my new outfits, and I can debut them here on the blog for those of you who don't see me often. Please.....if the first idea that comes to your mind when you see them is "tent," go ahead and giggle a little to yourself while staring at your computer screen, but leave it at that. I've been trying really hard to find stuff that isn't so "tent-like", but c'mon! My tummy is growing at an insane rate. People keep asking me when I'm due, and when I tell them not until the end of June, their eyes always give me this quick pop, as if to say, "Sheesh! That kids gonna be 13 lbs by then!"
Our crib and changing table furniture has arrived. It acutally came in last week, but apparently when the guy told us it would all fit in our Tahoe, he was just trying to make a sale. Jeff and I went out there yesterday to pick some of it up, and the only thing that fit was the hutch to the dresser thing. Yeah! I've got a hutch! We haven't even opened the box yet. I'm excited to see what color the wood turned out to be. I think it's going to be a little darker than my ideal, but Jeff wanted it that way. Hopefully I love it as much as I think I will.
The name thing is still a mystery. We continue to jokingly call the baby "Habeeb" since that's one of the names that stuck out when I was reading through a name book with 75,000 names. Jeff asked me how it was going, and frustrated I blurted out, "It's ridiculous! It's all Habeeb, Habib, Haboob, Habob." Now when anyone asks us if we have a name yet, we just say "Habeeb". I'm leaning towards the name Kaeden (or Kaden, or Cayden, or whatever), and Jeff says he is still leaning toward Hayden. I still have issues with both these names as is well documented in this blog, but we've always called our unborn son (before we were even thinking of having kids) Hayden, so it's hard to stray from the name. I hope our next kid is a girl so that I can get my Eisley, and to buy us a little more time to find another boys name if we have any more boys after that.
Oh! Speaking of second children, Jordan and Kristina found out that they are having another boy! They are excited because baby boy and Ashton will be so close in age, it will be nice for them to do "boy stuff" together. I'm excited because Baby Habeeb will already have a best friend (Kristina is about 7 weeks behind me)!
No, our house is still not up for sale. I think Jeff and I are a little burned out with everything going on around us (work, baby stuff, maternity clothes, and the all the taxes I've been preparing for people), that it's hard to get the motivation to get those few projects done that we want to have done before we start showing the house. Add on top of it the sporadic weather we've been having, and there's just no motivation. With Spring coming I'm hoping our mentality changes a little. I really, really want to have a resolution to this house thing sooner than later. I just feel so limited in getting things done by my current physical situation. I get pooped at the littlest of projects. I can't wait to get into whatever new house we get into and start making it a home. This house (for reasons I will not get into), has never become a "home" for us. It's our house, and we're comfortable here, but ever since the foundation was poured we knew we were not going to stay here as long as previously anticipated. Hopefully we get it up for sale soon! Wish us luck! :)
I think that is all for now. I woke up this morning feeling a little sick (sore throat). Hopefully it's just a light cold or something. Everyone I know who has been getting sick has been getting really sick. My friend Sean had to go the the emergency room with the flu, and he's still not better a week later! Meredith (mother to Baby Jane due in May) is sick with strep throat and pneumonia! I couldn't even imgaine!
Sorry for another post with no pics. I feel like the ones without pics are kinda boring. I'll try and do better this week! :)

Hey Busy Stuff!!! What an incredibly active week. So happy you found (most) of the clothes you needed/wanted. A girl always needs to feel good about her wardrobe, right? And remember, the focus is the glowing face and smile, ok??!!!! Nothing else, unless one wants to do the "belly rub" tee hee!
So, Guy got to keep his leather couch. Here's an idea; how about Guy lets YOU have afternoon napping rights these next few months??? It would be so helpful if you could kick up your legs for a while .. grab your laptop if you can't stand not to be "doing something" while you are chill-laxin'. Your baby and your FEET will be saying Thank You, Thank You!!
Can't wait for the next round of Habeeb pics!! We're on Week 22, right?? It's zippin' by sooo fast, at least in Dallas it is!!
Have a great week, and try not to download Everything all at once! I'm just so happy you finally have some help running that shop!!!
Hugs to you and Jeffrey, Stay Well, and NO FLU!!!
