Happy Birthday Jeff

So yesterday was Jeff's 27th birthday (you might as well just say 30th, because he's getting close!). I felt like a bad wife this year because it's been a tradition for the last couple of years to make a big breakfast on the Sunday before his birthday and invite family and friends over. This year that Sunday happened to be Superbowl Sunday, and we already had plans to go to Jeff's parents, so making a big breakfast just didn't fit into the plan. Instead, I made Jeff some French Toast Casserole, and allowed him to enjoy that for the next 3 days.

We had a nice time at Jeff's parent's house Sunday night, with plenty of yummy potato soup. Afterwards we made a quick stop of my aunt Kari's Superbowl Party to say hi, and watch the last few minutes of the game.

Yesterday for his actual birthday, it was hard to plan much (being a work night at all), so we planned a nice little dinner with Jeff's parents, my mom, and my grandparents at a local steakhouse. A special thanks to all of them for coming out and supporting Jeff's birthday, especially on such short notice. Afterwards, grandma was nice enough to let us go to her house and eat some cake that I had made Jeff (I'm not that bad of a wife, I made him two--one for Sunday, and one for Monday).

Jeff's gift from me came a little over a month ago when he got the Wii (please, please revisit the awesome pics of Traci playing below. She loves the attention!). Even with no gifts to open from me, Jeff made out pretty well in the birthday department. Since I'm the one who blogs here, he asked me to give a special thanks to everyone who participated in the celebrations, and to all those who sent gifts and cards. One very special card that Jeff received last night was a card from my Grandpa Taylor. Thanks Grandpa for thinking of Jeff! It was a nice treat to see something from you in our mailbox.

Well, that's all for now. I need to start blogging with pictures again. I didn't take any of Jeff on his birthday, but don't worry, I'll get better once "Baby Boy" is around.
