A Pregnancy First

Okay, so I have to tell you a slightly funny story. Jeff and I were at Walmart tonight buying some groceries. When I stepped up to the checker, Jeff was off returning a cart for the annoying customers who were ahead of us. Anyway...the checker looked at me as if to say, "Glad those guys are gone." She started small talk with me, and here is how it went:

Checker: "How are you?"

Me: "Good, and you?"

Checker: "I'm good. Your husband is sure nice to help out."

Me: "He does what he can."

Checker: "When is your baby due?"

My jaw must have dropped. What a risk this girl was taking! Luckily I am pregnant, but c'mon! I'm not that pregnant. I was even wearing my pea coat over my belly, and she somehow saw my lil' baby bump that's starting to grow. It was a wierd experience. There were three distinct emotions I was feeling: I was shocked that she could tell, excited to get my first outside observation of my pregnancy, and wanting to chuckle at the checker's bravery. She was very sweet though. She said, "Make sure you come back in with your baby. I want to see it!" I assured her that I am always there (like twice a week!) and that I'd help her keep tabs.

Isn't that funny though? I would post a pic of my belly bump, but right now there really isn't much (at least not that the camera easily pics up when my belly is clothed). I told Jeff what happened, and he agreed that today is the first day he's been able to look at my belly and think that I was beginning to look prego. Belly pics to come (when there's more to show!). The pic I posted is one I saw on the interweb (ha, ha) awhile ago. If you can't see it, try clicking on it to enlarge. It's pretty cool! Bye for now!

It was the American Fork Walmart...given your age, there is a better than 50/50 chance that most are pregnant... :>{)
