Well, I don't know how, but Halloween got even more fun this year.
Kade is fully aware of how trick or treating works, and even little Carter got into it.
This year I went with themed costumes for the boys again. I think I'll keep doing this until they either protest, or I run out of ideas.
This year I present to you Dr. Seuss's Thing 1 and Thing 2:
Oh how I adore this picture.
Their costumes were sooooo easy this year [the kit costumes were lacking a bit so I opted to throw my own costume together]. Made me love them even more.
Late in the game I thought it would be fun to be able to dress up with my boys. I cannot even tell you when the last time I dressed up was. I remember elementary school, but past that...I don't think I ever did!
I found a little Cat in the Hat kit online, and was sold instantly. It was enough costume to feel festive, but simple enough that it didn't seem like I went all out. Especially since our only Halloween plans were to take the boys on a short jaunt around the neighborhood.
I will love these pictures forever. I think I need to put down my fears and just go ahead and get in front of the camera a little more. I don't have enough with me and my boys.
The boys even had their own Chariot for trick or treating.

Oh my gosh. And how cute are these two? It took Carter only one house to understand what was going on. He'd knock on the door, then Kade would follow that up with a ring on the doorbell since the knock was usually inaudible. When the people would answer Carter would give his own version of "Trick or Treat" and hold out his hand. He'd get the candy and drop it in Kade's bag.
The only part he didn't get? The part where you leave. He'd stand there and sometimes try to inch his way inside. Other times he'd drop his candy in Kade's bag and then stick his hand out for another. Good thing he's so small and cute!
Best Halloween ever.
