So we were hanging with Brady and Meredith today. Kaeden and Jane were up playing in her room like normal while the adults sat around watching a movie.
After a bit I heard little giggles behind me, followed up with the highest pitch girl scream of excitement ever.
Apparently Jane and Kaeden had been playing dress up in Jane's room, and both of them thought it was just awesome to see Kaeden in a princess dress. Jane because she had someone share all her dresses with, and Kaeden because, well, it's a literal dream come true.
The giggling behind me was Kaeden nervously waiting to have one of us adults notice him there in a sparkly dress. We've been working on making sure he understands gender appropriateness with some things, so I think he was worried about how we'd perceive his outift.
The high pitched squeal? Well that was Jane excited to show off her handiwork.
These two.
I'm gonna love them forever.
Needless to say, they both were really excited to show off all the combinations of outfits they could come up with, and for this one night we decided to let Kade indulge in his dream of being a princess.
He's got the Disney Princess eyes, so why not?
