Well, our first preschool graduation was a big ol' flop!
Kaeden did NOT want to participate.
Actually, Jane did not want to participate at first either, but she eventually pulled through.
Kaeden.....not so much.
In fact, the only thing Kaeden wanted to do was sit in my lap. I take that back. All he wanted to do was sit in my lap and whine and cry.
So for the entire graduation program Jeff and I watched all the other kids and the chair Kaeden was supposed to be sitting in.
Oh! How cute! The kids singing little songs. And us...with an empty chair.
The kids also took turns reciting a little nursery rhyme. Jane killed it.
Luckily Kaeden was not even assigned a part because there was no way he would have done it.
He wouldn't even go up to accept a congratulations, gift, and handshake from his teacher. So again, I was left living vicariously through Jane's accomplishments.
Good job Jane.
At least I managed to get him to take a quick picture with Miss Katie. He sure loved her.
Congratulations to all the preschool graduates this year.
Glad your parents all got to enjoy a little show of all you learned over the past year.
At least whatever part of the show my son wasn't whining over.
The kicker? As soon as the party was over and we were getting ready to go to the car, Kaeden decides to throw another fit. This time because he didn't want to leave.
Because, you know, sitting in his mommy's lap watching all his friends perform was just SO. MUCH. FUN.
Kids.
