Jeff and I celebrated our three year anniversary on June 17th.
Three years of wedded bliss. Ahem. Yeah, that makes me want to gag too.
The best part is, it's been three years of ups and downs (mostly ups), but we've been through them, and have gotten stronger TOGETHER.
That's what real marriage is all about.
For our anniversary I had planned on doing one of those wedding recap posts, but we both ended up getting sick with strep, and I decided that of all the things I had on my sick plate, blogging would just have to wait.
I'm going to do the wedding recap post sometime soon. I've been saving doing it a for a few months since I really, really wanted to do it for our anniversary.
As with everything in life (including wedded bliss), plans change, you adjust, and move on. See how I went full circle with that?
Speaking of moving on....
Jeff is very nostalgic. Especially with music. A song or tune can take him back to a time in his life or a specific memory.
That is why he's often creating fun playlists for me with music that reminds him of a certain time in our history.
Among a really fun night he had planned for me for our anniversary [yay to our first movie together since Kaeden's birth!], Jeff took me on a little tour of memory lane as we visited sites around town that had some sort of significance in our courtship. He also created this playlist of our last three years to listen to while we took the drive.
As you can tell, we're both into alternative rock. We tend to go for the somewhat softer stuff, and I always love a good male lead singer. That's because I have no singing ability, and boys tend not to hit the high notes too often. That way I can sing along in only half-shame. It works well.
