One Down....Three to Go....

I remember when I first met the hubs, how hot [imagine flames] I thought he was. The first night we hung out, he showed up to my friends house, and I can tell you down the the shoes exactly what he was wearing. He was clean-shaven with a well-groomed haircut. He was HOTTTTT!

Then the deception came.

Hubs has an affinity for trying to grow his hair out. Ala the early nineties. Or Kurt Cobain.

In all fairness, I'll admit that I don't exactly know what look he is going for [in five years I've never seen it 'get there']. Sooo...I just have to assume it's this or this. That's because in the various stages of ugliness [spanned across many months, no less], I'm always told that "it's on the verge" of being good.

I've yet to see it.

Hubs has thick wirey hair. It tends to 'fro. It doesn't look good on a whitey.

I've tried pleading, begging, withholding sex. Nothing works. His hair determination is immune to all my female powers.

In fact, it's the topic of some of our most heated arguments. Right there behind sex [or lack there of], and money [ditto].

In the early years I used to get encouraged when he would break down and get it cut [hottie in the hiz-zouse!]. But I quickly learned. When he tells me that "once I get it cut, I'm never going to grow it out again," what he really means..."I'm only cutting it to start this long, ugly process all over again."

I'm not the only objector. It doesn't matter.

Tonight I was greeted with this: [hello handsome. where have you been?]



With the hubs [temporarily] shorn, on deck is Kaeden and the bups [Yorkie]. I'm hoping to go in and switch things up a little too. I'm sure pics will follow.

In the meantime, I'm 100% attracted to my husband again [as opposed the 95% due to the obligatory 5% hair reduction].

I won't even get my hopes up that this time it will stick.
