My Kid Needs These Stat!

* Just in case you didn't know, they are True Religions. I know.*

Don't these just scream "I am the cutest kid in the world"?

Too bad they also scream, "I cost $80.00" and "I'll only fit through one wash cycle." A mom can dream though.

Any suggestions on places that have great baby clothes? I'm talking 6 month and under sizes. It's as if retail stores don't remembers there are kids that size [or at least male babies that size]. Kaeden has outgrown all those newborn outfits I got as gifts when he was born, but he's not quite ready to fit into the 3-6 month size. Plus he's ready for a Fall wardrobe. I have been searching everywhere for a pair of baby jeans [or a few. kid spits up like a fountain] so that he's not always wearing sweatpants, but they are nowhere to be found.

I was told Old Navy had a good selection, but none of the stores around me even had a baby section [other than a couple of onesies]. I did look online today and got pretty excited about the Online offering. As soon as I get some time to do some online shopping, I think our checkbook is going to be in trouble.

Any other suggestions?

I was super excited about some good buys I found at Dillards last week. A cute little Quicksilver Hoodie and T-shirt [pics to come when they fit a little better]. Luckily I found them on sale, but seriously!?! How do you charge $40.00 for a baby hoodie, and only $36.00 for an adult one? Oh. Because you can. And I will probably still buy. Touche.

Did you ever meet Donelle from Arrowhead? Check out her babies jeans. I think they are the same ones you want.

80 bucks for baby jeans that they'll grow out of in a month?! What a crazy world we live in.

Sammy-those are it! Her little guy is a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e. I guess those jeans are no biggie if your hubby is an orthodontist (or something like that). Donelle looks great. Pass that on for me. [I don't think she'd remember me if I left a comment].

*Mary* I know. I used to be so frugal. Then I had a kid and all my personal finance rules have been thrown out the window [not really. Just in my mind]. Don't worry. I couldn't swallow that type of purchase without feeling super guilty. There's people out there that need so much more than an expensive pair of jeans.

Kristina-I've looked in stores, and their boy baby section 3-9 month range is usually just one picked over rack. I always look at Kaeden and say, "If only you were a girl...." JK I'm hoping if I look online I'll find more "stuff." My boss bought Boy [his name for Kaeden] a pair of jeans from there today that are sooooo cute! They were sized 12 months, and I was like "Are you crazy?" Then I put them on and they were only slightly baggy. Nothing a good wash won't take care of.

Dads(2) - welcome! I will check out your blog. Thanks for commenting! Did you know you are the first person to comment on my blog that I hadn't left a comment on their blog first? Yay!

i've always bought taylor's clothes at target, gap + H&M... is there an H&M here? actually i don't think there is. we go to the one in vegas but it's not that great either. before we moved here we'd go to chicago [michigan ave.] every other month and stock up. they have AWESOME kids clothes if you're ever near one.

gap has great sales! and target often surprises me. JUST SAY NO to walmart. [speaking of only one wash cycle! their clothes SCREAM sweatshop!]

have you tried the children's place? i found some things there at the beginning of the school year.

those jeans are cute, but not worth it. save your money and buy yourself some instead! :)

now i want to go shopping!

Oh no. I would have said the places Amber said.

I am already so aware that I will spend so much money on my baby/kids clothes. I mean... not unreasonable amounts.. but still.. I look for the great deals but I'll be shopping at Baby Gap. I already know it. And I can't wait!
