Hey- congratulations! My house is for sale too. How long was it between the time you 1st put your house up until the time you got your offer?
That's great AND scary. We decided not to list our condo right now, and are going to wait until the spring.
Where are you moving?
Good idea, Kristina. We're going to let our listing run out (in a few weeks). Then, if we decide that we still want to move (in the spring) then we'll relist it then.
I don't know what is going on. Seriously, we have about 1 or 2 showings a week, but they only seem to be people who can't afford our house. Where are the people who CAN afford my house?!?!
Kristina-
We're not sure where we are moving yet. We really like the Draper area, but it's just a matter of finding what we like in a price range we can afford. I have a feeling we'll end up in the South Jordan area. We'll see.
Brittany-
Are you selling on your own or with an agent? Selling was sooo frustrating. We had up to seven showings in one week sometimes. I feel like half of the state of Utah has been through our house. It's a really nice house, so I couldn't figure out why it took so long to sell. Unfortunately the price point of our home fell into a category that has tons and tons of inventory, and that had a lot to do with it.
Good luck to both of you!
I have an agent. This is our 3rd house and we use him every time we sell/buy. This is also the nicest house we've had, so I'm really frustrated as to why I'm not getting more (decent) offers. I mean, we get offers. But they're like "Can you drop your price $20k and then pay our closing costs... oh, AND our down payment? Oh, and can you pay to move us in and can you come by once a week to vacuum and do our laundry and stuff? That's not too much to ask." And then they wonder why my agent draws the Swear Finger on their offers and faxes it back to them.
