Not Much Going On...

So it was a rather uneventful week again at the Hoffmann household. I thought I was out of the woods with the whole glucose thing since I hadn't heard from the doctor's office by the end of Friday. But when I was driving home from work Friday afternoon, I noticed I had missed a call from the doc's office requesting that I call back. They were of course already closed, so I will just have to wait until tomorrow.

I'm not worried yet because they never really described to protocol of how they would report these test results to me. The last one they said that if I didn't get a call, a postcard would come in the mail letting me know everything was normal. I just assumed it would be the same with this one, but I could have been wrong. I'll keep you posted.

Other than that, there is honestly nothing new here. We haven't had any real hits on our house, but we're still remaining optimistic that as the weather continues to get better, so will the traffic. Working in the office today, I watched 3 different cars stop to get fliers. Hopefully things will pick up.

Jeff and I are planning a quick trip to Vegas later this month. Jeff was upset when tenative plans to go to Cancun in March fell through, so he's been trying to plan a getaway ever since. We've found some very nicely priced rooms at the Mandalay Bay, and they were such good deal, even frugal me couldn't say no. This will be the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in Vegas. Usually I just go for whatever is cheap (you can imagine the "great" places we've been). The part that sold me though, was the pool at Mandalay Bay. It's called "The Beach," and it literally has a beach and a wave pool that lap the sandy shores. I'm excited. With the crystal blue (chlorinated) water of the pool, I think I'll be pretty sucessful in imagining myself in Cancun. :) I'm hoping to get a little color on my skin so that I can wear some of my Spring/Summer maternity clothes without blinding whoever looks at my legs. We're going on a Sunday-Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday trip, so I'm also hoping that the Strip (and pool) won't be too crowded (in comparison to our usual weekend getaways).

Can't think of any other even slightly intriguing news, so I guess I'll sign off. Here's to a more eventful week with post-worthy material! :)
