Yesterday I had another baby doc appointment. Just another little checkup. Things were looking normal. I of course gained more weight, and we heard the baby's heartbeat again. He's going to be a big feller! Baby is measuring 2 cm bigger than he is supposed to. This means that according to a "normal" pregnancy, baby's size is 2 weeks ahead of where he is supposed to be. Yikes! Hopefully I just have a big placenta, or a lot of amniotic fluid or something. I don't want to push a huge guy out! :)
Here's another belly pic for your enjoyment. It's official! The turkey is done! My belly button is not longer an innie (its barely even a belly button!). Nevermind the super baggy pants in the picture. They were my first maternity wear purchase, and they have never fit me since the day I first got them. I didn't realize how much stretchy fabric would really stretch. Oh well!
Baby is moving a lot! Especially in the last 24 hours. He is getting strong too. He will adjust and make my belly go lop-sided. Sometimes I think he is sticking a limb out and just holding it there. It hurts a little! :) I like to poke at him through my belly and feel where he is at. I verified with the doc yesterday that this is okay. I was a little worried about donking his head too much, but he assured me I could really do no harm. It's weird to push back against his movements and then feel him respond. I'm about ready to see what he looks like at this point. We've been playing games with one another for awhile now, it's time to see what each other looks like!
Baby doc appointments now speed up a little. Instead of every 4 weeks, we have them every 2 weeks for the next three visits. After that it's weekly and then the big dance! Yikes! Got to get the baby bedding done!
